Buying a ring made to order

Made to your choices

Every ring is made after you order, in the metal you choose from those offered on its design, at the finger size you give us — and, on a diamond-set design, with your choice of diamond quality in lab-grown or natural. Nothing is pulled from stock.

Getting the size right

Have the finger measured by a jeweller, or measure a ring already worn on that finger. Resizing after purchase is free, except on full-eternity rings and designs with stones set into the shank.

Common questions

How do I find my ring size?

The most reliable way is to have the finger measured by a jeweller, ideally at the end of the day. Failing that, measure the internal diameter of a ring already worn on that finger. Avoid paper strips and string, which stretch and read a size too large. If it is a surprise, borrow a ring they wear on the right finger and send us the measurement — we will help you work it out.

Can the ring be resized later?

Resizing after purchase is free: you cover the postage to send it to us and we cover the return postage. It is not possible on full-eternity rings or on designs with stones set into the shank, because there is no plain metal to work with — the ring has to be remade, and we would quote for that first.

What is the difference between lab-grown and natural diamonds?

Both are real diamonds, with the same chemistry, crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour — a lab-grown diamond is not a simulant like cubic zirconia or moissanite. The difference is origin. In practice lab-grown gives you the same look for a lower price, so the same budget buys a larger or cleaner stone; natural diamonds are rarer and priced accordingly. Neither choice is the wrong one.

What do the four diamond quality options mean?

Lab Diamond, E–F colour, VVS–VS clarity is our finest option. Natural, F–G colour, VS clarity is a premium natural stone, clean to the naked eye. Natural, G–H colour, SI clarity is the best-value natural option. Natural, H–I colour, SI clarity is the most affordable natural option. How long will my order take?

Two to three weeks to make, plus delivery. We hold no finished stock — your piece is made after you order, in the metal, diamond quality and size you chose. Production begins once the 24-hour cancellation window closes.

What does the warranty cover?

Manufacturing defects, for life — a stone lost through a failed setting, a solder joint that gives way, a faulty clasp. It does not cover accidental damage, normal wear, loss, theft or work done by another jeweller.

Every piece is made to order and dispatched in 2–3 weeks, with a lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects.
