The Berkeley sets three round brilliant diamonds into a domed court band and leaves a long run of polished metal between each one. The spacing is the design: they read as three separate points of light rather than a row, and from most angles only one or two are in view at a time. Each is rubbed over and finished flush with the face, so the band stays smooth the whole way round and wears easily every day.
