Bespoke Jewellery Commissions

An idea, an inherited stone or a sketch can be the starting point. Xclusive Diamonds designs and makes bespoke rings, pendants, earrings and bracelets in-house.

Choose your stones and metal, see the CAD design and approve the price and production timeline before making begins.

What makes a commission bespoke?

A bespoke commission starts with your brief and a design developed for it. This differs from choosing a metal, diamond option or size on an existing collection design. Both are made to order in-house; a commission includes its own design and approval process.

For an original design, start with our bespoke jewellery design service. If an existing design suits you, explore the made-to-order jewellery collection.

Different starting points

What would you like to create?

01

A ring designed around your stone

A chosen diamond can set the direction for an engagement ring. We discuss the setting, proportions and metal with you, then develop the CAD design for your approval.

02

A new setting for an inherited piece

Share photographs of the jewellery and explain what you would like to change. We can discuss reworking the design around your existing stones and what needs to be checked before proceeding.

03

Jewellery from your own idea

A pendant, pair of earrings, bracelet or wedding ring can begin with a sketch or description. Your brief helps us discuss shape, dimensions, stones, budget and how the piece will be worn.

Before the first conversation

What to include in your brief

  • The type of jewellery and the idea behind it.
  • A sketch or reference photographs, if you have them.
  • Your preferred metal and stones, including any stones you already own.
  • An approximate budget and any important date.
  • Practical details such as ring size, pendant dimensions or how a wedding band should fit.

You do not need a finished design. The first conversation is free and carries no obligation to proceed. See the five stages of a bespoke commission.

Clear answers before you begin

Bespoke commission questions

Will I see the design before you make it?

Yes. We create a 3D CAD design so you can review the proportions and setting before making begins. You approve the design, fixed price and production timeline before we proceed.

How long does a bespoke jewellery commission take?

Bespoke commissions take 2–10 weeks to make, depending on complexity. Design discussions and approvals take place before production. Delivery follows once the piece is complete; we confirm the production timeline with your quote.

Can I use a diamond I already own?

We can discuss a new design using your existing stone. Send photographs and any known stone details so we can check the possibilities for your particular piece before agreeing the design.

How much will my commission cost?

The price depends on the design, metal, stones and work involved. Tell us your approximate budget at the start so we can discuss suitable options. You receive a fixed price in writing before making begins.

Can you show me images or videos of a diamond?

Yes, we can supply images or videos of the actual diamond on request. Contact us with the diamond or commission you are considering.
